Piloting Faith: We need people to call us out to be a person of integrity
A Word for the Day...
"When we justify why something won't work, sometimes we are making excuses for not choosing the very thing our heart longs for more than anything else," said Victoria. I sat in stunned silence. She was right. Victoria is my colleague and my friend. In that one statement, she was holding my feet to the fire. She was calling me out on a deep truth of life.
We need people in our lives who help us see more clearly and who are relentless in holding us accountable to our own integrity. I can count on Victoria to do that. She can count on me.
I pray that you have such wise ones in your life. We need one another to be mirrors to our greatest hopes, our deepest fears, and our truest commitments.

Prayer for the Week
God of wisdom,
Graciously grant me the spirit of knowledge today.
Fill me with knowledge when the air is thick with ideas,
and I don't know whom to believe.
Fill me with knowledge when I am plagued by worries.
Help me to hand them over to you
so there's room in my mind
for truer, better thoughts and feelings.
Grant me your spirit of knowledge that I may
trust you completely, and rest in that trust.
Fill all those who call on you
with the same spirit of knowledge that led Jesus,
that helped him know what to say, what to think, what to do.
Yes, may your spirit of knowledge
shine out from our innermost beings,
that we may know and share your presence,
your nature,
and your will at work in the world around us.
Amen.
